Way West Rally 2006

The 33rd Way West Rally to be held on 3rd to 5th NOVEMBER 2006 in Jackson’s Hotel, Ballybofey, Co. Donegal. Ballybofey is situated in one of the best and most scenic locations, close to the main N15 (Letterkenny – Donegal road) with the Blue Stack and Cark Mountains and Glenveagh National Park close-by. Donegal's wild beauty and unpredictable weather make it pure biking country for the adventurous spirit. Narrow, twisty, poorly-surfaced roads abound, slow in the wet and not much faster in the dry! But the scenery is incredible, away from the "bungalow blitz" towns. Attractions nearby include Kincasslagh; Carrickfinn Airport; Errigal Mountain, over 752 meters; Glenveagh National Park- 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, woods and wild bog; Slieve League in south-west Donegal, the highest marine cliffs in Europe rising over 606m, bustling market towns, and wild, primitive, historic glens.

• Join the Guided Walk & Coach to Glenveagh National Park; bring your own walking boots & rain-gear!
• Gala Dinner on Saturday night followed by dancing to a DJ
• Special Bed & Breakfast rate on Sunday night

Most participants arrive Friday afterrnoon to avail of the opportunity to meet old and new friends, to take part in the Saturday activities and to savour the town's attractions. As in recent years the hotel has offered Way West Rally participants the opportunity to extend the weekend, get more road miles in Donegal and avoid the Sunday rush home, by offering B&B accommodation on Sunday night at a special price.
