Circuit from Bunratty Castle & Folk Park on N18 (0km): R471 to Sixmilebridge (7km), R471 & R463 across the Cratloe Hills to Killaloe (35km). North along river on R463 to Scariff (50km). West on R471 & north on N18 to Ardrahan (105km). Then west on the R347 and N67 to Ballyvaughan. If your map-reading or GPS is ok take the local roads over The Burran from Shanaglish, at the junction of R471 & N18, to Boston, Carran and Caherconnell before descending to Ballyvaughan (121km) and the Ailwee Caves (Café). Take the N67 through Lisdoonvarna, R478 past Doolin (Fisherstreet), Cliffs of Moher (155km) to Lahinch. Continue along the N67 beside the Atlantic Coast over some of the worst surfaced roads in Ireland to Kilkee (205km), Kilrush (218km) terminal for the ferry across the Shannon. Return on the N67 to Ennis (259km) and rejoin N18 to Bunratty (278km).
