We are a motorcycle rental agency newly opened in NY. We have been in the motorcycle business for 45 years and have just begun rentals. We have many Irish customers that live in NY and many visitors.
BE AWARE that most travel & medical insurance policies class motorcycling as a "dangerous activity" or limit cover on hired motorcycles to 125cc MAX. Irish policies may only cover (parts of) the EU. If you're going out of the EU, check with your rental company when booking. Otherwise insure with a specialist broker. i.e. When I travelled to Belarus and Russia my domestic insurance (breakdown, medical, liability) stopped at the eastern EU border. Carole Nash supplied a Green Card for Belarus and sourced a carrier for medical repatriation for Belarus & Russia; the Dutch ANWB supplied motorcycle breakdown cover for Russia, west of the Urals; and the Russian national motor insurer carried 3rd Party Liability for Russia.
