Subject: Charity motorbike run and general good craic

 My name is Paddy Leonard and i'm arranging a world record attempt of the largest collection of bikes in one place in Ireland (especially Honda 50s, but open to all bikes) i would like to invite your members to Clontibret, in co Monaghan on Sunday the 6th July at 11 am for a road run through the beautifull Monaghan scenery and ending up at a vintage field day where there will be lots of craic including outdoor music and general festivness and divilment.

 

Now to the serious bit i am collecting money on the day for a cancer charity and will be asking everyone who attends to give 20 euro or whatever they feel is appropiate. there will be spot prizes of Avon goodie bags and tee shirts for those registered on the day. As I have less than one month to arrange this and advertising funds are low I would like if you could tell as many as poss about this event, and if your members can turn up on the day it will really help to make this event and you all will be made very welcome, so spread the word. cheers

Dear Bikers,

This year we are holding our 3^rd Annual “Sandra’s Run” on Saturday July 19^th. We are signing on in Killybegs, Co. Donegal at 11am, and intend leaving for Greencastle via Donegal, to Malin and down by Buncrana back to Killybegs.We had a total of 44 motor cyclists last year and raised the total of €13,500 for Our Ladies Hospital Crumlin, Money went towards research, and we also purchased Five Televisions, Two Nintendo wii computers and DVD player and Games, which we gave to St. Johns ward in the Hospital where Ryan Mc Crudden from Killybegs is attending as a Leukaemia patient. We are asking all motor cyclists to take part in this run and hoping we all enjoy our day in the Hills of Donegal.

We have a meal and music after wards in the Tara Hotel.

We will kindly take Donations & any item of value for our Bikers draw on the night,

I would really love if I could get some coverage for this event it was a huge success last year with a free tyre promotion and lots of other prizes, as well as the launch of the New Maddocks Metzeler Tyre Club. 19^th & 20^th April is a big event in Maddocks’ yearly events calendar. We have World Famous Road Racing champion Iain Duffus here for the whole weekend with a list of events and actives planned.

Saturday 19^th April is the official launch date for the Maddocks Metzeler Tyre Club in our premises in Bray we will have Iain here all day talking to riders about their needs, wants and best options not just on tyre but shocks and shock adjustment. Tyre pressures for one & two up options as well as fully laden and complete off road set ups. He will do tyre pressure checks and other adjustments for you on your bike on the day.

Sunday 20^th April we will have a customer ride out with Iain starting in Maddocks @ 10am, and coffee in Laragh

Hi, In 1981, 6 DMTC members on 5 bikes rode to the 36^th Rally in Vrnjacka Banja, present day Serbia, and returned by Thessalonica, Corfu and Italy. I plan to repeat the trip and look forward to your company. At 4,000 kilometres, Messinia is probably the furthest-ever rally location for us with the most driving in the EU. I'm planning a road trip via Munich & Vienna, arriving in Athens on Sunday 6th and the rally site next day, and will start the homeward trip on Sunday 13^th.

Date: 63^rd FIM Rally Pylos, Messinia, Greece 7th to 13^th July 2008

The competitive element of this FIM Rally is to arrive with your motorcycle (& pillion!) at the Parc Ferme in Pylos in a 7-hour window between 10.00 -17.00 on Thursday 10^th July. There are other prizes for bigger teams but the Irish clubs contest the Irish club award. PDF forms and information are on the website-www.rallyfim2008.org. 

I suggest campers arrive early to get sheltered pitches and bring sun tarbs to cool the tents, it’s supposed to be a grassy site (in July!) beside the sea. I reckon on a minimum of 5/7 days travel each way and 5/6days soaking up the sun!
