The Dublin Motorcycle Touring Club (DMTC) was formed in 1971 by a group of motorcycle enthusiasts from Dublin, Ireland, whose main aim was to create a community for motorcyclists who enjoy travel, touring, rallies and parties. Events such as the Riders Rally and Way West Rally were born out of this collaboration. Motorcycle touring was to form the bedrock of the club's ambition.
Club meetings are held at regular intervals, with members organising weekends and events both at home and abroad. The flagship events for the club continue to be the Riders and the Way West rallies, held in August and November respectively. Today DMTC has around 140 members from all over Ireland. It has always been a multi-make club and members own bikes of all vintages, capacities and makes. The Club is affiliated to Motorcycling Ireland (MCUI) and through them to the Federation of International Motorcyclists, and has enjoyed representation at FIM Touring Events since 1978. The Club hosted the 2001 FIM Rally in Killarney when 1,750 riders from 30 nations attended.
Our ultimate goal is to serve and help our members in all possible ways. Our vision is to become Ireland’s leading non-profit motorcycle club. Our mission is to enjoy the journey on a motorcycle arriving without worries.
